Celebrated Julia's bday yesterday...

Knowing tt everybody was gonna be late, i tried to be as slow as possible. Delaying by using the computer, accompanying my brother to go Parkway Parade money exchange and to QB to cut his hair...

Finally it's one hr after our meeting time, and i guess it's time for me to go Geline's house. Careless me left julia's present on my brother's car!!! haha!! I had to ask my brother to U-turn back to pass me the present.

I guess my timing was good, coz julia, the bday girl juz reached by tt time too ;p
So after getting the present from my brother, Geline brought the 2 of us up. We were slacking, doing nothing... keke, i think tt's the main purpose of the gathering at geline's hse = to slack.

Then Lei came and we started watching "Something's Gotta Give". Funny show, but the relationships in the show was quite complicated. Julia was so sad tt Keanu lost to the old man, hahaha! Anyway, Keanu is not the main character in the show maa... although he's more handsome lah.

Xian was very late... about 3hrs late... Next time have to think of some forfeit for her to do, wahaha! We were all waiting for her to start eating the Oreo Cheesecake tt geline baked for us. I love the cheesecakes tt geline bakes!!!! Very delicious, not to sweet yet so yummy ;p Thks geline!

We accompanied geline to MIS to hand in her report b4 gg to Suntec Swiss Culture to meet Min for our dinner. The dinner was a filling one... We had bread with Cheese fondue, Cod fish with potato wedges, Chicken with rosti served with mushroom sauce, pasta, and a side dish of potato wedges. It's our 1st visit to the shop and i think we were quite satisfied with their food ;p


After the dinner, they accompanied me to NewUrbanMale to get my brother's present. Sorry for making u all to shop for guy's under garment with me, keke... Thks :)
And i wanna thks ruiwen for helping me to ask for discount for the merchandise ;p
We met Khairudeen who was working there too! He's going into NUS chem engine.

After Lei and Geline left to go back to suntec and take their buses home, we accompanied Min to wait for Ronald. We sat in Raffles City, chit chatting about beauty care. The guy next to our bench kept turning and looked at us, i think he either felt like joining our conversation or shutting us up *bleah*

All right, i decided to go for Qinfen's bday then geline's bday on 12aug... I think i will give my brother's a miss... Anyway, i won't be of much help to him at the chalet, keke...

Went out to "shop" with Xian yest... We went hunting for julia's bday present.
On the way, we shopped for our own things too, but i din get to buy anything. Xian bought a top and a nike jacket. The jacket was worth it, i felt. 40% discount leh!

We went to Wisma, Taka then Wheelock, Far East, searching up and down b4 we finally made our decision. We met up with Min and Ronald @ Taka and there is where we settle the major part of our decision with Min's opinion of the present.

Yuan, hope tt u can come back during ur bday after u go to tw for studies...

Kevin, muz jia you wor, tml is ur exam liao!!! Cya tml ;p

Btw, 3 persons are celebrating their bday on 12th aug this yr, i am in a dilemma now. Tell me wat to do?????
1. My elder brother's Bday chalet @ Sentosa
2. My primary sch good friend, Qin Fen's Bday @ her house
3. My buddy, Angeline's Bday @ East Coast Beach Hut

Why all celebrate on the same day??? It's so hard to come out to a decision... can i split myself into 3???? I wanna go for all!!! Greedy me, hahaha! Any suggestions?

Yesterday early in the morning, Kev and I went to meet up with Amin, Lv Wei, Simei, Hanwen, Rongshan, Xiuzhen, Jun Jjie, Wanyu, Irene and Shaun @ Orchard. There are 3 teams within us. Saw my neighbour friend at Takashimaya, i think she came with her friends ba. I heard tt some Hall Camp use this SMRT challenge as one of their activities :)

Me, kev, hw and rs in one team, amin, Junjie, wy and irene in one team, and sm, xz, shaun and Lv Wei in another team.







After registering, we collected the coupons and our challenge kit. We had to sit down to wait for the guest of honor. So in the meantime, i gave them the souvenir tt kev and i bought in thailand for them. After a while, i saw this guy holding onto the bookmark tt i juz gave them. Can it be a coincidence tt he also brought tt here??? I dun think so. So i checked if i had dropped it. No, i din... So i checked with everyone to see who took the green guitar bookmark, it was xz. And she realised her bookmark was gone, so i asked her to get the bookmark back from the guy quickily.

After some "exercises" with the california fitness club members, and the talk by the G-O-H, we were ready to go. We all at started off at Ngee Ann Civic Plaza and split from there.

It was quite exciting. The very 1st moment when our team received the clues, we were stunted... Except for the raffles exchange clue i can guess, others i couldn't.

Luckily kev was there, the 1st clue tt says "it's a place in the north where all the metal dragons will come for rest and maintenance..." It was a smrt depot! rs knew tt the only depot in the north is Bishan.

At 1st we tot that the park which the clue gave (Red-Hat-Parks Croak)was the youth park we quickily set off for somerset since it's the nearest. When we reach somerset, we saw alot of ppl gg into California Fitness Club, so we tot tt it was one of the stn, we went to tt stn and realised tt this stn is for the open category and not for us, the student category. Anyway, i saw Eddie there ;p

Then we became unsure of the youth pk answer, we decide to go for the clues tt we were very sure, which is Bishan as we planned to go for the farther ones 1st. On the train to Bishan, Kev incidentally saw tt the Bukit Panjang LRT line was 7.8km altgt, which fits one of the clues "I am 7.8km. Come to the 6th stop in the line". So we cfm our next stn, Bukit Panjang.


1st Stn - Bishan SMRT depot
As we reached Bishan MRT, we followed the crowd. I saw Merina! So glad to see her:p After for about 10-15min jog and walk, we realised tt we had came to the wrong stn!!!! We were supposed to go to the depot and not the club house! The uncle ask us to go back to MRT stn to take the shuttle bus to the depot. Oh my god... had to run back again...

By the time we reached Bishan MRT stn, the shuttle bus had left, so we had to wait for about another 15min for the next shuttle bus. It was a long wait, and simei's grp came too ;p So we board the bus tgt. While on the bus, our 2 teams tried solving the clues and we managed to solve the red-hat-parks croak --- rearranged = Orchard Skate Park.

But we split at the depot again after picking lots for the activity. We picked the bus activity and they picked the train activity. The bus activity was really easy, juz place the sign boards of the safety equipment on the bus at the right place. I heard tt for the train activity, they had to run in to the depot where the trains were parked, which is quite far.

Luckily for us, the activity ended fast and we managed to catch up with the bus tt drove us in, so there was no waiting time for the next shuttle bus to come in and fetch us.


2nd Stn - Bukit Panjang MRT stn
Thkfully, hw know tt there is a bus from orchard to bukit panjang which takes only about 30min. So we took the train back to orchard to take bus 190 which is a TransIsland Bus, so it means free ride for us ;p While on the bus, Kev found out the clue on "I am in the central where Old Mr. Lee looks over me. 'Call' and look for for 537735 Tower". It was Keppel Towers!!! the 'call' was hinting us to hit out hp keypad for the ans! Smart Kev ;p

We reached Bukit Panjang very quickily i felt, it was less than 30min... The train could have taken 45min to an hr or so... We ran from the bus stop to the LRT stn. rs's friend was the activity master. Kev throw the dice, and it was a "1". We were supposed to find an item tt has this number and tell the stn in charge what is the item. We search for quite some time and we couldn't find it. Luckily rs saw another grp pointing at the fire extinguisher and coincidentally, tt was the item "1"! We quickily ran off after finding the ans. We went to Bukit Panjang Plaza to search for SMRT taxi. We tot it would be darn hard to find, since there were so few SMRT taxis as compared to Comfort and CityCab.

Lucky rs found an empty SMRT cab :p We boarded the cab to head for Changi Airport for the clue "Martians in the east. Go and battle them." However, we received a call telling us tt we were heading to the wrong place. Luckily it was on the way, we asked the cab driver to go to the Expo instead of Changi Airport. Thks so much to simei and team.


3rd Stn - Expo MRT stn
We wondered why was it Expo until when we reached there and saw the UFO-look alike rooftop of the Expo MRT Stn. This stn was ok. Hw and Kev had to place the tennis ball btw there forehead and walk for a few meters, then we also had to fill in a cross word puzzle.


4th Stn - Tanah Merah Shuttle bus to NeWater Visitor Centre
Next we headed for Tanah Merah to take the shuttle bus to the NeWater Visitor Centre. We saw amin's team who juz finished the NeWater stn and were heading towards Bukit Panjang. We waited for about 10min for the shuttle bus... The road into the NeWater Visitor Centre was quite far in.

The activity there was to blindfold one of us, and the others lead the way to the computer stn thru verbal instructions. At the computer stn, we had to guess wat type of water is used for wat activities. We tried a few times before we got the 3 correct answers. Then we had to go out of the centre and do the 3 correct procedures when taking a cab. We went into the cab, fastened our seatbelts, tell the driver our destination and then our preferred route.

Again, we had to wait for shuttle bus to drive us out. While waiting, we saw some mad ppl running towards the NeWater Visitor Centre. Kev was saying scarly they were simei's grp. Who knows they really were! We saw a very tall dark guy in blue shorts, tt muz be shaun!!!! We were really surprised, they actually ran in from expo to the NeWater Visitor Centre! tt was really a long journey by foot. Juz nice our shuttle bus came and we went off to our next stn.


5th Stn - 85 Sultan Gate Malay Heritage Centre
We took train to Bugis Mrt stn and ran our way to the Malay Heritage Centre. We make a big round instead of taking a short cut.

We had to draw a poster tt encourage safety and courteous behaviour while using SMRT public transport. It was a very simple sketch. Then we had to wear sarong to play chapteh. I only managed to do after many many tries. Then we ran back to the bugis mrt stn, and at the platform area, an SMRT staff suddenly called upon us. We tot he's gonna give us demerit points! Thkfully he gave us merit points for keeping to the left and holding onto the handrail while on the escalator *phew*


6th Stn - Keppel Tower
When we reached Tanjong Pagar MRT stn, we had to number the sequence of the escape procedures if the MRT were to be faulty or there was an emergency and ppl had to be evacuated.

Luckily, Keppel tower was not as far as it looked on the map. It was juz across the road opp Amara Hotel. This stn was a rock wall climbing activity. Kev tried, but failed. Think we was too tired from the day's race, carrying things for me. Then we change hw to do it. He reached the top and touched the red cross :) But he said tt his legs almost cramped when he was half way up the wall.

Happily we ran back to Tanjong Pagar MRT stn to go for our last 2 stns. We tried asking for merit points here but the uncle dun wanna give us, haiz... haha! Anyway, we were juz trying our luck since we still have a few min b4 the train came.


7th Stn - Raffles Place Exchange
We went into raffles place exchange and did our activities. We had to do a shuttle run, it was quite easy. Then the question came, how does the sequence of the warnings go when the train had reached the platform? Easy ;p The answer was... "Chime", then "Doors Closing", "Buzzer" (which is the tuk tuk tuk tuk...). Haha!

hw's friend was the activity master of this stn, so he told us tt only one grp had crossed the finishing line for our category. We were so excited we ran to our next stn after thking him.


8th Stn - Somerset Skate Park
This is our last stn. We had to write a 4-line poem using this 3 phrases - behind the yellow line, eating and drinking, SMRT before we do the physical challenge. Rebecca was the activity master! At 1st we tot it was activity on in-line skating then i finally can help my team a bit this time round. But the activity was to dribble a soccer ball across the cones without hitting the cone for more than 3 times. So i was of no help again this time, hw dribble the ball thru the obstacles.

The stn in charge give us merit points for being considerate. yeah! But i only knew this at the end of the game. Only rs knew it, haha.

Finally... Our final destination which is our starting point, Ngee Ann Civic Plaza was there! We ran from somerset to there.

"SMRT CHALLENGE!!! *Honk*" This marks the end of our challenge.

Met Shai who was with Eddie after the finishing, so glad to see him!!! My most respectable senior in I-guides ;p While waiting for release of results, Kev and I went to buy something and we were not able to make it in time to receive our prize on the stage, so only hw and rs were on the stage when 2 of us rushed back. keke...

Although we were the 3rd grp to cross the line, we ended 4th in position, losing to the 3rd position team by about 5min. Coz all grps start off at different time and all grps get different number of merits/demerit points. 1 merit point entitles you a 5min reduction in your timing and 1 demerit point costs you to have a 5min addition to ur timing.

So $1,000 cash and the trophies were gone... But at least we managed to win a hp each. Not very good model but at least we won something.. It's Sony Erisson J100i. I think the 4 hps add up to about $500 ba... It was quite fun actually although i was very tired after the whole day's running.... We rewarded ourselves at the republic food court, hahaha!

So sorry tt i slowed the grp down... hw, rs and kev had to keep waiting for me...
Thks hw and rs for waiting for me and forgiving me my slowness... Thks Irene for helping us to register. And thks to all the others of u (simei, xiuzhen, shuan, Lv Wei, Amin, Junjie and Wanyu) for ur companion in this race ;p U all are GREAT!

Kev and I met up with Julia, Yixian, Caiying and Meihua @ AMK. From AMK bus interchange, we took bus 138 to go to the zoo. On the bus we met Sharon Xie (TMS 4/4) and her bf ;p they were oso on their way to the zoo.


















We walked around the zoo, busy taking pictures of the animals. Then we went to watch the "Elephants @ Work and Play" show at Elephants of Asia.

Some interesting things were that there was this kangaroo which hopped out of its fence.
Another one was the 3 goats tt jumped out of their fence to look for food.

After the visit at the zoo, kev, me and julia went to we tai's bday chalet at Pasir Ris Coasta Sands.

Thks Nong for driving us in to the chalet ;p Besides the bball guys, some guys from the other classes were there too. But I think tt we tai's family members and relatives outnumbered us, hahaha! I like we tai's bb cousin alot, weizhe. He's so cute, with such beautiful eyes, i tot he's a baby girl! He was smiling at all times :p

Actually we wanted to stay for the cutting cake session, but the bball guys went out to play bball at pasir ris pk, by the time they came back, i had to go liao... coz i have something on the next day. Hope to see them soon :)

Rested for only 2 days and i am gg to NTU NBS FOC now...
All tt had happened last yr to me is now happening to this new batch of freshies.
Listening to some talks by the sponsors, then lunch and ready for the dirty field games.

Wat was worst this yr was tt it rained b4 the game started, so the field was really muddy... esp when they have to do leopard crawl in one of the stns. At 1st they were quiet... but when the games get more exciting, they became rather rowdy.
Kev came to take a look at the games. He also bought food for me b4 he left...

At night, it's time to go to the "lake"... hahaha!!! Poor Darren was pulled into the "lake" with Janice... luckily both were fine. There were some other stns too, like the "dreamwalk" in the big drain.


>>18th July 2006, Tuesday
After a long long day, we set off for east coast and reached the chalets at 3am plus. After about 2-3 hrs of slp, we were ready to set off to sentosa liao. I felt tt it was a bit out of pt thou... i rather we go from sch st to sentosa.

It's the fun part of the camp and also one of the most tiring ones. Battle games on the beach. Cheering, playing, perspiring and sandy was the scene of the day. Everyone was rather exhausted.

Next half of the day was the Amazing Race. After that, they were given some free time to do their planning for the performance night. Sirius was not ready. The main character of their skit was not there, and they couldn't find music for their dance. They were getting serious, somehow a bit too serious tt it became tense. Luckily, they manage to plan everything out.


>>19th July 2006, Wednesday
Hey hey fright night is here!!! But i was looking after the Selegie Tou Hua for them until i dozed off coz no one was toking to me... After our grp took the Tou hua, i went to join them and board the bus to our next destination, NSRCC! Shaun passed me the key to open our chalet door, Unit 26 ;p

it is a much better place as compared to East Coast... At least we dun have to slp at the corridor!

I woke up the next morning and went home, the OGs were heading to NTU for pool games. I went to meet them only in the evening. It's the pizza night, yummy!

Sirius performance was fabulous!!! Sirius all the way man! The dance was good and the skit was really funny ;p We were so excited when they were releasing the results... We've got the most humorous award as we always do... but i dunno why, hahaha... it's generic i think. But we hope we were not cursed to get 2nd for the 4th year.... This year best performance was......... SIRIUS!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah! finally we made it! Thou it's our junior's credit, we were really happy ;p

After tt was the SP interaction night. I felt tt Janice partner was a bit rude, i could not handle him so i asked kk to tok to him. Anyway, it was fun to go ard listening to wat they were toking about when they were blindfolded. Heard a couple toking about lao3 po2 ben3... i was like WOW... so fast talk about this liao ah... haha.. Then Yii Ying from my OG was so cute, she feign authetic chinese accent when toking to her SPs (the real and the fake ones). However, not knowing tt her SPs were all seniors and were not blindfolded, and there are 10-20 ppl watching at her acting and videoing it down. It was hilarious. But tt shd be the way, keke...

After tt, it's time to return to the chalet and we played some games at the chalet before we turn in. Blow wind blow is definitely a scary game for us if u see how we play it... "Boss" Thigh had a few blood clot, bruises and palm prints after the game! Luckily i was not playing.

When we woke up, and after having breakfast, it's dolling up time. Straws, leaves, flowers, cups and plates came into use ;p After their weird makeup, we set off to chinatown to play "Foodhunt". I left them after a while to get ready for the SP night.

I went back to the chalet with Kevin to see the SP "Tekan" session. this yr is so much lenient as compared to last yr's. But we shd not be overboard when tekan ppl oso lah... Kev and I took public transport with Melvin and Kenneth to Clark Quay for dinner @ Brewerkz. The cheese stick was kinda too cheezy, i couldn't take it... The burger and the steak there seems not bad thou...

Then we went to Club Momo to find our OG. And the both of us went into the club without paying coz the tix could be reused for our event ;p The drinks there sux... i think yi4 fen1 jia4 qian2 yi4 fen1 huo4 ba... Anyway Kev and I left early coz we found it kinda boring there.

It's the last day of the camp which i didn't attend. Heard from Shaun tt Sirius' best freshie is Gary. And Sirius lost to Endor by only 1 vote for the Best OG award! But i felt this year's Sirius was great!

>> 12th July 2006, Wednesday
Early in the morning, we set off for the flight to Thailand with Kelvin, Royston, Yihe and Huiqing.

Royston bought bought something even b4 we board the flight, haha. He got a bottle of Estee Lauder Paradise for his mum, coz there was no Estee Lauder Pleasure. His mum very fashionable leh, i dun even noe what brand has wat types of perfume, except a few tt their advertisements caught my attn, like Dolly and Secret Wish from Anna Sui. Their bottles were really cute, esp secret wish bottle...

The flight was about 3hrs... hmm... this is equivalent to the transportation time i took to and fro NTU!!!! Wahaha! We took Jetstar Asia flight but it was operated by ValueAir coz they 2 combine now. The seats were spacious and really comfortable, not a bit like budget airline plane!
There was a tour guide from our travel agency to pick us up to the hotel, Asia Hotel. Everything was fine with Asia Hotel, but there's a few things which i think they should provide. Like toothbrush and toothpaste, and also kettle to boil water... They only provide cool water. If they dun provide a kettle, i felt tt at least there should be a shared hot water outlet at the corridor juz like first world hotel.



1st destination of the day gotta be Mahboonkong (MBK) since our hotel is so near there. I had been there once b4, it still look the same now. It is still as nice to shop there, too.

Found the cushion tt my mama wanted me to buy for her. It was so bulky, i wondered how should i bring it back to Sgp after i had bought them. I bought 2 and i slashed the price, hahaha! It was 390b, and i bargained to 240b. Not a bad bargain huh. But i wanna slash to 200b, but didn't succeed... coz 240b is the same price in Sgp actually. However, I couldn't find it in Sgp liao, so i have to buy it there... haiz carry all the way back at the same price...

At night, we went to the Seafood restaurant which Huiqing's friend introduced. They said it was cheap and good ;p

But who knows... we went to the wrong Somboon seafood restaurant (this one is very near to MBK) which charged us really really high price. We suspected tt the Hotel staff aliance with them coz when we ask the hotel staff how to go to somboon restaurant, they were so happy and willing to help us. They helped us arranged a cab to go there at only 50b! And you know how much we pay for the meal for 6 of us??? 6073b!!!!!!!! S$40 each person! We were very angry...

We got out of the restaurant to go to our next destination Lumphini night market, now known as Suam Lum Night Bazaar. There were a few taxis waiting outside and they were charging very high price at 200b, when we ask them if can go by meter, they rejected. If u meet this kind of drivers, either u slash the price or u ask them to go by meter... After feeling a bit cheated, we are more cautious about the price now.

We board a taxi whose driver is willing to on the meter and willing to drive the 6 of us. He was a very nice guy, he can speak some english, well enuff for a proper conversation. He is our saviour, we wish tt we can meet this taxi driver everywhere we go... but of course tt is not gonna happen.

When we told him about the Somboon Restaurant incident, he was shocked. 6000b!!!! He said he had been to Somboon restaurant and his family ate a dinner which is less than 1000b! then he told us we went to the wrong Somboon... the cheap and good somboon is Somboon Surawang (Muz walk from Sala Daeng Stn). Oh my god! tt's why... we were being brought to the most expensive somboon restaurant... We were so thankful to this uncle, who was really kind and helpful. The taxi fare was about 50b plus 60b but we decided to pay him a little more to show him our gratitude, even thou it was not much.

Suam Lum was a very nice place to bargain and shop. We realise tt we had only managed to shop one of the zones at the end of the day, so we will be back some other day ;p

We managed to get a cab driver who is willing to drive 6 of us back to the hotel. I think we were too heavy, with 5 ppl at the back seats, the back of the car hit the ground when the cab went over a hump, poor lady driver. We felt sorry for her...



>> 13th July 2006, Thursday
After our breakfast at the hotel, we went to MBK to book movie tix to watch "Pirates of the Caribbean 2" first before we went to the Siam Street to shop. Kev and I felt tt the shopping centre was boring as it was too singapore... So kev and I didn't go to the shopping centre, the 2 of us stayed at the smaller shops which is more like heeren and the edge those kind. We couldn''t find the things we wanted so we bought Cha-yen and some snacks and left for siam square and we saw the rest of them there.

I found a heels there and wanted to buy it so much coz it was rather comfortable even thou the it was quite high. But i find the price a bit high, so i didn't buy it 1st. I tot I saw the same design at the previous place so Kev had to accompany back there to get tt pair of heels, and the rest went to MBK swensen's 1st. I tried finding the heels tt i wanted but could not find the same design there.

Anyway after tt, we met up with them for some ice cream at swensen's 1st. After the swensen's, Kev accompany me all the way back to siam square juz to get tt pair of heels. So sorry... Then we bought the banana prata and chocolate prata at the place where we bought the cha-yen. We also found a Jap Restaurant tt sell cheap jap food. It is juz opp MBK! but we nv went back there to eat...

So the 2 of us went back to McDonald near the cinema and met up with the rest juz b4 the movie started. It was a funny show, but the story was a bit weird. Perhaps muz watch the 1st episode then will be make more sense ba...

After the show, the rest went to the MBK Food court for dinner. I accompanied kev to go and buy the polo tee tt he wanted to get juz now before meeting up with them again.

While on our way back to the hotel, we bought some steam corn back to the room to eat. It was a very interesting way to sell the corn! The vendor steamed the whole corn, then when u order, he dipped the whole corn into cool water. Then he sliced the edible part of the corn of its core easily. COOL!

We were supposed to club tonight. But i was feeling exhausted i felt asleep once i reached the hotel room. I didn't even bath tt day.. *smelly me* The rest went out to have supper and chit chat.

Again, breakfast at hotel. Actually, i quite like their breakfast ;p
Then we split ways. Huiqing and Yihe went to shop. Me, Kev, Roy and Kel took the BTS Skytrain to Chit Lom and went to the temple and pray. It's the 4-Faced Buddha. We are supposed to kneel down and pray 4 times, one time towards one face of the Buddha. And after praying, we were suppose to offer 3 joss sticks and one flower ring for each side of the Buddha Face.

After praying, we were supposed to walk to Pratunum Mkt to meet up with Yihe and Huiqing. But we saw the big shopping centre which also had a very big supermkt - The Big C. So we went in and found out tt Levis was on 40% to 60% sales for some model!!! I wanted to buy one pair of jeans too, but the design tt i like was not a zipper jeans, but buttoned which i find really troublesome. Imagine going to the toilet when u are urgent and u have to unbutton about 4-5 buttons 1st???

Roy and kel bought the jeans and they were really happy ;p We informed Yihe and Huiqing about the good bargain and they rushed their way here. But they din get anything in the end i think as the designs on discount were not wat they wanted.

So the 6 of us moved on to the Pratunum Mkt. The things there were quite common, but kev and I enjoyed ourselves there. The rest of them find it so boring there, they went back to MBK even b4 the time we should meet. So after kev and I got wat we wanted, we went back to the hotel and all of them were back there liao.

Tonight, we are gg to go to the real Somboon. 6 of us took the BTS Skytrain to Sala Daeng (a plc for the japanese) and walked our way to Surawang Road. We were so surprised tt ppl at Thailand are even more orderly than Singaporeans!!! They really line up when gg into the train. As in straight lines those kind! Impressed.

It was a long walk to Surawang. We were so happy when we reached there! The whole restaurant was filled with mostly japanese. This time we only ordered the famous curry crab which is on promotion now. I din order the other crabs coz i see tt the price was still kinda high. It's about S$40 per kg of crab, although it's a bit cheaper than the other Somboon! However, the prices of other dishes were really cheap. We only spent about S$10 each!!! when the waitress told us the total bill was 1670b, we were shocked as we were prepared to pay about 2000b to 3000b. I think the waitress muz be thinking tt we had not enuff money to pay or the meal was too expensive when we gave her our unbelievable look.

After tt we wanted to take cab to Suam Lum Night Market but we could not find. We found the Tuk-tuks and wanted to take it. But they wanted to charge us at 200b for each tuk-tuk, and we had to take 2 tuk tuk. So we decided to bargain with them, 50b each. They were only willing to lower to 100b for each tuk-tuk, so we walked again. One of their friends came and offer us the last price, 80b each. OK ;p

Me, Kev and Roy were split from Huiqing, Yihe and Kel at Suam Lum as we could not find their tuk-tuk. After shopping till quite late, we bought quite alot of things there as we felt this is our last stop b4 tml's Chatuchak. We shopped till we were tired b4 we left. And coincidentally, we met yihe, huiqing and kel at the central fountain. So we went to took cab tgt. We managed to find a young driver who is willing to on his meter and drive all the 6 of us.

But when his friend saw, he was a bit afraid and asked 3 of us to take his friend's cab who would on his meter too. We agreed so as not to make things difficult for him. Who knows... as they started to drive off a bit, they realised tt they dunno how to go to our hotel!!! OMG... so we had to get down the taxis.

We walked out of Suam Lum to search for cabs again. Finally, we managed to get a uncle who is willing to drive the 6 of us back to the hotel. We went to 7-eleven nearby to buy some stuff 1st b4 gg back to the hotel.

We then went to Roy and kel's room to chit chat. We din even noe it was gg to 4am when we finished chatting! We had to wake up early next morning to go chatuchak! So we went back our room and rest quickly

We deposited our belongings and checked out the room before gg for breakfast.
Then we took the train to Mo Chit where the Chatuchak Mkt is located. Yihe and huiqing went off to shop on their own again. We met alot of Kev's friend over there ;p

Chatuchak was so warm and crowded there, yet the price was about the same as pratunum mkt, MBK and Suam Lum mkt. More things were available there though, but not wat we wanted. We din get much things there and we decided to go back to MBK b4 we went back to the hotel to get our stuff and ready to go to the airport. We had our lunch there at a jap restaurant at MBK. We went to Tops in MBK to buy some drinks back to the hotel and Kev bought one tub of ice cream back, he even kapo the metal spoon from the MBK food court. Naughty boy.

When we were back to the hotel, Huiqing and yihe were already waiting at the hotel lobby. So we sat at the sofa there waiting for our tour agency to send someone to pick us up. While waiting, we chit chat with a Singaporean lady who brought her parents to Thailand for holidays.

When we reached the airport, the driver helped us to unload the baggages and luggage. Everyone gave tips although he din ask for it, so we also give him some, coz he was quite nice. We had to wait for about 45min b4 we can check in since we were early. they went to check out the BK there, it was so expensive, even more expensive than singapore! So we ended up empty stomach. They tried eating the melted ice cream tt kev bought juz now... but i think it's a bit yucky after it had melt so no one wanted after a few mouth of it. We ended up throwing it away.

We shopped a bit in the airport but we felt the things were too expensive there. so we all boarded the plane empty handed. It was a sleepy ride home... I was so tired... Yihe met his sec sch junior who was juz sitting in front of him on the plane ;p

Finally back home, my parents came to fetch kev and I. Others' families came too. And i realised Yihe's dad look so much like kev's dad. hahaha!!! Juz like yixian also feel tt our daddies looked alike ;p

Went back home with Kev. He came and help me out with the packing for our thailand trip. Actually there was not much to pack, hahaha!!! i think u can get everything there ;p

Went to sch for project today. everything is gg fine and fast. I ended my project meeting early and i went to FAL.

Saw alot of my classmates getting ready for their registration of subjects, hahaha!!! Wanyu, rongshan, amin and I sat at one row, kev came when all of them are registered liao. Stephanie, aiwei, liting and huiyi were sitting at the other side. so far i noe 2 girls who are taking law, they are Lili and catherine, one guy friend of kev. and tt's all... anyway, my module only have 14 ppl so far, hahaha!!! and it's like one class has 10, the other class have 4!!! So if i get poor results, then i have a very high possibility to bottom the class *scared*

I dunno why I was so tired today, kept on yawning and yawning... getting old liao i think...

Went to Bugis Seiyu to work again this week. Met up with Kev 1st b4 working.
B4 i went to work, i realised i 4got to bring my water bottle, so we purposely went to NTUC to buy a bottle of mineral water tt cost only $0.45... then when i go for work, dunno who on earth stole my water bottle which i left outside when i went into the toilet cubicle!!! Hey comon, it's juz a 45cents water bottle, or are u juz trying to sabotage me so i have no water to drink while i am working???

Anyway, luckily kev had not gone home yet. He was at bugis street buying balloons. So he got me another bottle of mineral water plus mentos. Thks so much ;p

I was so surprised to see Miyuki coming back to work again, she left the company for a yr. And now, here she is, still the same girl who can promote well and hit the sales target, althou' is a bit unfamiliar with the stocks. She's a nice person :p

Met up with kev after work and we went to BK for dinner, and shopped ard bugis street. Went to check out my neighbour's stall, only to find out tt her stall is no longer there. Then went up to see Kevin PYK's shop... hmm... i am not too sure which is his shop liao, think is "WannaBee" but cannot cfm... nvm lah, i juz shop ard with kev, but as usual, we left the place empty handed. haha.

Went to Marina Sq KBox with Agnes and Huifang. Such a long long time since the 3 of us get tgt. Agnes found a job with Royal Sporting House, CONGRATS!!! Huifang had pay increase and she's waiting for her bonus! keke...

The 2 who dun wanna go KTV with me last time actually loves singing. I was surprised tt they chose KBox for the small gathering. But it was an enjoyable outing. But tt Agnes went to meet some guy after the singing session *hrmp* left the 2 of us only. So we 2 juz walk walk a while and went home.

I went to kev's hse, and her cousins were there. i didn't do much things there. But i read some of the blogs.

Julia... actually i felt Taipei uni is not a bad choice, thou tt would means it will be harder for us to meet u up. if u get a degree in taipei and come back singapore to teach chinese, i think is better than getting a diploma at NIE. The pay wise will be quite diff when u start working. Hwr, it's all ur choice. Choose what u think is the best for u. juz rmbr to come back can liao, althou this is not ur hometown... hahaha!!

Anyway, 10th july is my last day of sch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah!!!!!!!!!
I will be gg to Thailand on wed till sat. Lei, tt time u say wanna buy something or watever, u still need my help? if got muz lemme noe asap. If u girls need me to get some stuff lemme noe by tml ;p

Went to Chinatown to change thai baht and bought a pair of "massage" slippers to replc the pair tt was stolen by dunno who since i came back from genting in may.

Met up with Lora and Alvan yesterday for dinner @ Scotts Food Court. Ismay and Katherina came too. Katherina was telling us about her newphew, who really exhausted all her parents' and her energy, juz to take care of him, a 5 months old bb. She told us he is about 8kg! 5mths old @ 8kg!!! i will categorise him under obese i think. Or is this supposed to be the normal wt of a bb of 5 mths old???? *ponder*

Anyway, Lora wanna go Zara sales. In the end, only Ismay bought something. The rest of us came out empty-handed.

Lora Lora... pls treat Alvan better lah... our dear lora loves to command ppl. Even a stranger uncle who help us take picture had to listen to her command.. ('.')`

We got into the SMRT challenge. Cool, long time nv join this kind of thing. Thks to Irene who took the trouble and reg for us. haha!

Juz reg subjects. Luckily we were the 1st few who logged in and reg i think. coz i tried adding and it fails coz haven't start yet. The next second i tried, the subjects were added! so i think kev and i muz be among the 1st. B&F subjects was very competitive, u gotta be real fast. The slot for the subject i took for law was also very competitive. Thkfully, we got into wat we want ;p
Meifeng... jia you wor. Hope u can get into the same classes as us for AA305 and AC213, too...

After reading lei's blog, then i noe Julia got into NIE!! Wat's more??? Julia got into Taipei Uni too ;p I am so happy for her! Now it's her turn to choose :D Hope tt u make the right choice. But if u go taiwan, then we will gonna miss u...

My mama went to sell vitagen dr to dr last few weeks. It's a tough job and yet earn so little. She is quitting liao ;p Actually she likes to do sales, but she dun like to approach ppl dr to dr. hahaha! Counter Sales will be fine for her, juz like me ;p

MY holidays are finally coming... Looking fwd to it.

Today is my sis bday! She went out with her frenz to celebrate.
I stayed at home today, coz it was a bit inconvenient for me to go out i think... I dun like to go out and not being myself.

2nd spec allocation result was out yesterday. I accepted law. Thou a bit scary, but i can drop it if i really cannot cope. Kev taking B&F, shaun and hanwen too. Meifeng taking HR. Summer also taking tt.

Worked at Bugis Seiyu again. Finally, i have got the staff purchase tt i ordered last month ;p Such a good timing, coz it was for my sis present, she wanted tt bag to go for her night classes.

Oh yah, my sis signed up part time degree courses with MIS Curtin Uni Courses and is gg to start her sch in Aug. And she found herself a new job which is starting on 10th july. Good for her ;p

Kev came to meet me after my work, we went to Han's outside the national Library to have our dinner. After tt, we went into the library and borrowed some books, haha!!! Kev borrowed 3 books on Spanish and english translation, as he's is taking spanish course now and he wanted to continue spanish after tt. We also borrowed a book about thailand, juz to read up a bit more about BKK.

One sad thing tt happened to me today... So sorry Julia... I lost the Korean Drum Hp chain u gave me... The chain is there, but the drum was gone!!! It came off when i was doing my sales... *pizz*

Did some homework on thailand and get some tips from Claire about Thai language. i learn some very impt to me ones like asking them not to put chilli, where the toilet is, and direction, and to lower px of course... haha.

Our grp presented on our idea today. Luckily we were given the green light to carry on with our biz plan. I think the tutor loves it. It's easy to understand. hahaha! He dun even give us the chance for others to question us. Since he think it's ok, then ok lor. He is gonna the one marking it anyway.

Went to meet Kev and Gerald at SRC after their swim. Gerald went home, while the 2 of us went to Can 2 for dinner. Met Kian Hong at Can 2, so we sat tgt. My tutor, Mr. Toh was there too. So he juz sat with us so to have a bit of company. Kian Hong felt tt he's more like a friend than a tutor, hahaha! Anyway, he's a nice person to talk to i felt. Zhe ming loves him lor. Usually zhe ming doesn't speak too much in class, but this module i can hear his comments every now and then ;p I feel tt the tutor is a bit like Kev. Quite st fwd, and very sharp thinking.

The other grps were sitting at the other side too, but we din join them. @ 1st i tot they would be discusising their project so i didn't join them. Anyway, later when kian hong joined me and kev, it's even more weird to sit with them i think.

My brother's bond with SAF is ending soon, so he is now actively looking for jobs. His expectation for salary, i felt, was a bit high. Tt makes it a hurdle when he is looking for job. But he would need ard tt pay to maintain his car.

My brother was shaking his head when my parents asked him how was the interview today. When i saw him acting this way, i knew he got the job. hahaha! If he din get the job, he would say st away, he won't be "haiz-ing" and shaking his head.

Not bad, finally found a job tt is willing to pay him ard his expected pay, althou slightly lower. And the work plc is not very far, i think is at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Budget airline???? hahaha! i am not too sure.

So my sis and brother are all changing their jobs. keke...
