17th June 2005, FridayCrawling out of my cozy bed @ 4am which i will be leaving behind for 3 days, i prep to set off to HK.
United Airline's security was tight, perhaps it's bcoz it's an American Airline.
About UA Plane:
Seat is slightly cramp...
Stewardess ok... wears a smile but was not really friendly.
Steward - worst. Dun even smile. Like so reluctant to serve...
Luckily it's only 3 hr and 20 min and we were in HK!
We were on a free and easy tour. On the way when our tour guide brought us to the coach, i was so shock to met someone familiar... Not a Superstar. But my friend, FREDA!!! I was so glad to see her coz i was wondering if i would have the chance to see friend coming to HK. She's there with her family for hols too. Didn't get to talk much coz i had to follow the tour guide.
Metropole - Good service, but the corridor a bit smelly. My sis said it was bcoz of their old carpets...
After some rest we went out to shop @ women's street and Fa Yuen Street before we joined the night tour.
We went to Lv Yu Men for Seafood Dinner. The Food there was considered quite ok i think. Then we moved off to The Peak, but it was rather misty and we didn't get to see the beautiful night scenary of HK. But the Tram journey up there was interesting as we get to see the bldgs beside the railway slanded. Actually it's becoz the tram is moving up in about 45 degree. Victoria Peak (nic's house) is juz beside the Railway (tt's wat my sis's friend, Avis, said). But i din go for the Wax Museum as i was not really interested... Next was the Star Ave where there's alot of famous celebrities who left their signatures on the floor.
Lastly the optional stop was temple street. Only my siblings and I went for tt, as we are the only 3 young ppl. Others in our tour were all parents and their kids. Our parents went back to the hotel coz my dad was compaining that he's tired, keke...
Nothing much @ the night mkt in Temple Street coz Fa Yuen Street and Women Street were much better. But the 3 of us went for fortune telling. Some parts she was saying were very true... Gd for my siblings but not good for me... So sad...
After tt, we walked all the way back to our hotel! sianz...
18th June 2005, SaturdayMet up with my Sis's friend, Avis, and her cousin and cousin's husband to have Dim Sum together. They are from China, but only Avis lives in HK. So she became the tour guide for us and her cousin. The Dim Sum was consider quite cheap and the dim sum was not bad too! 8 of us only spent about S$50 altogether! and we order quite alot..
Went to ShangHuan and the things there are more expensive. The HardRock there was closed down, too bad for my brother, keke...
Went to Tong Luo Wan and Stanley (Chi Zhu), the beach areas. Chi Zhu shopping market has quite alot of things too! But i felt tt guys should go HK and shop coz there's more guys clothings there and they are all quite nice.
At night, my brother and I wanted to club @ Lan Gui Fang with his frenz who were in HK too. But we ended up meeting his Internet friend @ Merhaba, a bar. The area is like boat quay but slightly more high class though and it’s on the slope.
Played word games with them and they were all HK ppl, so I made some dramatic mistakes due to my poor Cantonese. I was better with Yvonne coz she’s more friendly. She’s very pretty and is 2 yrs older than me, too bad I’m not a guy… wahaha!!!
19th June 2005, SundayWe went for Supper after that and by the time we reached our hotel, we were dead beat. The next morning, I still woke up @ about 9am to go for breakfast, can’t waste my time sleeping sia…
After checking out, we do our last shopping @ the nearby streets. But the scorching sun affected our shopping mood as my father was complaining, keke… Soon, the tour bus was @ our hotel and we were drove to the airport. It’s fly home time!!!!
We were so tired when we reached Singapore and my brother’s friend parked my brother’s car so far at the carpark that we took a long time finding the car.
The next morning, or rather that very morning, I still have to go for work and give tuition after work. Sianz…
